Why Am I doing this?

Hi, I'm Josethy S. Pérez, and in 2023, I proudly graduated from Oviedo High School with a commendable 3.9 GPA. Growing up, I've always been drawn to sports, particularly Football and Basketball. However, due to a condition called Femoral Anteversion, I realized that excelling as an athlete wasn't my path. While I spent the first two years of high school working to improve my skills, I came to terms with the fact that my true passion lies in studying kinesiology. 

Throughout high school, I pushed myself to the limit, taking college-level classes and even attending advanced courses during the summer. My motivation was fueled by a desire to ease the financial burden on my parents, who have worked tirelessly to make a better life for our family as immigrants settling in a new country.

Inspired by my parents' unwavering determination and their refusal to seek assistance, I conceived the idea of "CityProud." This project embodies my determination to emulate their example and strive for success without resorting to loans to finance my education. To realize this vision, I chose to create and sell stickers that symbolize the pride I have for my beloved city, Oviedo, FL. As a resident, I've witnessed its growth and development, and I couldn't be prouder of my contributions to its vibrant community.

With "CityProud," I aim to fund my college education without accumulating debt. By selling these stickers, I hope to not only support myself but also foster a sense of pride and unity among the residents of Oviedo.
